The Ancient Order of Hibernians is a Catholic, Irish American Fraternal Organization founded in New York City 4 May,1836. The Order can trace its roots back to a parent organization, of the same name, which has existed in Ireland for over 300 years. However, while the organizations share a common thread, the North American A.O.H. is a separate and much larger organization.

What Is The AOH?
The AOH is the oldest Irish Catholic fraternal organization. We abide by the motto, Friendship, Unity and Christian Charity
Who Qualifies For Membership?
Membership is open to all men of Irish birth or decent and is a practicing Catholic.
Where Is The AOH in Nassau?
The AOH in Nassau County has divisions in the Five Towns, Levittown, Glen Cove, Hicksville, Rockville Centre, Massapequa, Long Beach, Port Washington, and New Hyde Park

Nassau AOH Feis


The Ancient Order of Hibernians sponsors the 45th Annual Nassau County Irish Feis and Festival on September 17, 2017. The Feis (pronounced “Fesh”) is a celebration of Irish culture and history. It will be held at Nickerson Beach Park in Lido Beach and will be replete with traditional Irish dance, irish music, and Piping and Drumming competitions, along with an Irish Marketplace and a special area for the children.
